MENTAL HEALTH

Our Vision

Access to quality mental health and psychosocial care services for every child, at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, for preventive and curative purposes.

Thematic Objectives:

  • Creating public awareness about child and adolescent mental health needs and concerns.

  • Training and capacity building of mental health and other related child and adolescent healthcare service providers.

  • Capacity building of child protection functionaries in the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels to support the mental health needs of children and adolescents.

  • Enabling linkages between child mental health services and child protection systems.

Who we work with

We engage with a variety of stakeholders in mental health…such as training District Mental Health Program (DMHP) functionaries on child and adolescent mental health issues, to mental health professionals running tele counselling helplines…such as CHILDLINE and state helplines engaged in COVID-related counselling of children and adolescents, in the present situations of the pandemic. We also offer specialized capacity enhancing initiatives to mental health service providers in tertiary care facilities, and the pediatric community, on special issues such as mental health issues in contexts of childhood trauma and abuse.
