Our Vision
Safe and inclusive schools and educational spaces…where teachers and school counsellors are sensitized to identify and provide first level responses to children with emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties.
Thematic Objectives
To integrate child protection and mental health issues into education spaces
To enhance the capacities of educators, teachers, school counselors to identify and respond to emotional, behavior and learning problems in school children.
To promote interventions for children with special needs and inclusion, and life skills education within schools.
Enable capacities of schools to deal with special issues such as abuse, bullying, and discipline.
Who We Work with?
We reach our to school teachers and counsellors, and educators, via SCERT/Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and DIET, to provide skill-based training and capacity building programs, and through public discourse series to raise awareness on child and adolescent mental health issues in school-based settings. We especially reach out to government school teachers as well as teachers and counsellors in major school systems such as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Kendriya Vidyalaya.
